A selection of 100 19th and 20th century photographs, organized by the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY, was shown at the Vassar College Art Gallery.  The images, drawn from the Eastman House archives and rarely seen by the public, ranged from Matthew Brady's "Abraham Lincoln," a stereo view, "Top of Suspension Bridge, Niagara Falls, New York," by Charles Bierstadt and the innovative portraits of Gertrude Käsebier to several of Eadweard Muybridge's motion studies and three photographs from the 1874 excavations at Troy by Heinrich Schliemann.     The Miscellany News
